Lagniappe Tax Group LLC is a San Antonio, Texas–based practice owned and operated by an Enrolled Agent, focused on individual tax preparation and planning.
The firm was created in part to give my separate wealth advisory clients the option to have tax preparation coordinated with an advisor who already understands their broader financial picture. It is also open to select clients who come for tax work alone.
The practice is based in San Antonio and works with individuals and families throughout Texas, along with select clients elsewhere in the United States when it is a good fit.
Lagniappe Tax Group is a tax practice — not a CPA firm or an accounting firm. The work is deliberately narrow: accurate, compliant preparation, with forward-looking planning available for clients who select that level of service.

Meet the Owner
Mike Walters, EA, CFP®
Mike is an Enrolled Agent and CFP® professional who also works as a financial advisor outside of Lagniappe Tax Group. His financial-planning background informs the firm’s broader, planning-oriented approach to individual tax preparation and tax planning.
Lagniappe Tax Group is distinct from Mike’s financial-advisory work and serves both advisory clients and select standalone tax clients. As owner and sole practitioner, Mike works directly with each client.
On a personal note, Mike has Cajun roots. The firm’s name reflects that background and a belief in offering a little something extra through thoughtful, personal service.
